Ethics induction

Anyone involved in user research in Home Office Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) must go on this ethics training.

What you’ll learn 

The session includes:

  • the Market Research Society’s Code of Conduct, and data protection laws and regulation
  • how we conduct research with various user groups
  • how we use data in research, including sharing, storing and handling user research data
  • ethical research
  • gaining voluntary informed consent

Who can attend

This is a mandatory session for user researchers in Home Office Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT). It’s also open to other staff involved in research inside and outside of DDaT.

How to prepare 

Make sure you’ll be able to access the internet during the session. You’ll also need a pass that will get you into Marsham Street. Email robert.ferris@digital.homeoffice.gov.uk if you need a visitor’s pass.

We run the course on the final Monday of every month.
