Developer induction

This training will teach developers how the Home Office builds its software in an agile way.

Who can attend

Contract or civil servant developers working in Home Office Digital, Data and Technology.

What you’ll learn

You’ll learn how to:

  • deploy to the ACP platform
  • set up a continuous integration pipeline with Drone
  • build, run and debug Docker containers

You’ll also learn about our approach to open source policy, security, accessibility and other Home Office best practice.

After this induction training you’ll need to book the Home Office ACP induction.

How to prepare

Before attending, make sure you are a member of UKHomeOffice Github org, with 2 factor authentication (2FA) enabled. You need your full name on your Github account.

You’ll also need an Office 365 account.
