Access needs awareness: an introduction
This course will give you an overview of accessibility and why services must meet access needs.
What you’ll learn
You’ll learn about:
- the number of people with access needs
- what’s meant by accessibility and access needs
- motivations for meeting access needs
- experiencing access needs
- conducting heuristic reviews
They’ll also be a case study exercise.
Who can attend
Contractors or civil servants working in Home Office Digital, Data and Technology.
How to prepare
You’ll need to be familiar with the Digital Service Standard.

We run workshops when there are enough people to attend.
